15.5oz Denim Made on Old Shuttle Looms
The fabric features 15.5oz denim with a selvedge, created using an old shuttle loom. Despite its substantial thickness, it maintains a soft texture with a natural firmness and appealing finish.
Using one of the few remaining old shuttle looms, the warp is tensioned in a manner close to hand weaving, allowing for the slow weaving of 15.5oz denim over time.
Skilled craftsmen carefully insert the weft yarn, preserving the original texture of the yarn, and creating a distinctive twill pattern with a rustic appearance. The sewing is done at a renowned factory in Okayama, employing vintage specifications that carefully adjust the thread count, color, and stitch density for each part, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
Sanca's Playful Details
The classic 5-pocket style features strong rivets, a button fly, and a laurel motif button on the top, showcasing a respect for vintage craftsmanship in every detail.
Inside, there is an original printed lining, and on the back, a small leather patch adds a subtle playful touch typical of SANCA. The final result is a piece that blends classic style with personality.
The red selvage line visible when rolled up is a delightful detail for denim enthusiasts. Not only does it provide a visual accent, but it also serves as a mark of the careful craftsmanship done on the old shuttle loom, offering durability and the enjoyment of aging over time.

The thigh area is comfortably relaxed, while the leg tapers neatly from the knee to the hem. The ample fit around the hips makes it easy to wear for all body types, especially for those with athletic builds.
The inseam is set at a slightly shorter 9/10 length, making it easy to roll up without excess bulk and ensuring a great balance with shoes and socks.
