NANGA
Founded in 1941 in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, NANGA is a Japanese manufacturer specializing in down products with an unwavering commitment to domestic production. Known for using safe, high-quality down and advanced sewing techniques, the brand has become one of Japans most trusted names in winter outerwear.
NANGAs Original Flame-Resistant Fabric
Gathering around a fire in the great outdoors is one of the true pleasures of autumn and winter.
But fire sparks can be a hazard. On nylon fabrics, they leave holesfatal for down outerwear.
To solve this problem, NANGA developed its own flame-resistant fabric, giving rise to the HINOC seriesouterwear designed to keep you warm around the fire with peace of mind.
Materials Trusted in Firefighting Gear
The outer shell blends polyester with Kevlar, delivering high flame resistance. Beyond its exceptional strength and elasticity, this fabric also provides heat and flame resistance, and is used in firefighting suits and gloves.
*Because this product uses a special fabric, pilling may occur from friction during use. Please understand this is a natural property of the fabric. Pilling can be managed with a fabric shaver.
*This is not a non-combustible fabricavoid prolonged contact with sparks.
*The fabric has light water repellency but is not waterproof. Wipe off moisture promptly if wet.
A Refined, Urban Look
The matte, structured fabric gives a more sophisticated, urban impression compared to the standard Aurora Down.
Towards a Richer Society with Recycled Down
As a company deeply involved with down, NANGA actively collects and refines used down, giving it new life in future products.
Through initiatives in stable down supply, environmental protection, and employment support for people with disabilities and local contributions, NANGA aims to create a sustainable down circulation cycle that nurtures a more abundant society.
Domestic Down Refined with Advanced Washing Technology
NANGA carefully selects premium raw down from Spain by hand-picking, and processes it domestically using advanced inspection and washing techniques. The result is high-quality down with excellent moisture and temperature regulation, durability, and free from the odors often associated with feathers.
Meticulous Attention to Down Fill
While the standard Aurora Down uses 150g of down, this exclusive model uses 140g. Because HINOC fabric is stiffer than Aurora Tex, adjusting the down weight ensures just the right loft and the same level of warmth. This fine-tuning maintains both aesthetic balance and thermal performance.
Why NANGA Uses the Non-Pack Method
To achieve lighter weight and better design, NANGA uses a non-pack method, filling down and feathers directly between the outer and inner fabrics. Some feathers may adhere to the fabric surface or protrude slightly from seams, but this is a natural result of the manufacturing process and does not affect product quality.
The Fit That Enhances Warmth
While the Aurora Down Jacket has been updated with a slightly larger fit, this exclusive model is cut to Japanese sizing. The closer the fit, the more warmth is retainedmaking the right size essential.
By adopting a true-to-Japan size, this model maximizes insulation efficiency. Available in seven sizes, it ensures an optimal fit for every wearer.
